Nordic Edtech Alliance

Nordic Edtech Alliance is a partnership between Nordic Edtech communities and actors. The aims of Nordic Edtech Alliance are to support and profile Nordic Edtech internationally, where the Nordic values of Equality, Democracy, Quality, Motivational Learning and Efficiency are at the core. The goal is to attract Nordic and International investors to invest in Nordic Edtech companies and to build bridges to international markets for Nordic Edtech companies and suppliers. The Nordic Edtech Startup Award is NEA’s first cooperative initiative.

Katia Al-Kaisi

Katia is Founder and CEO at Education House Finland. Her focus is on introducing world class Finnish education solutions to schools, universities and corporates in the Gulf region. Her in-depth understanding of the Middle East and Finnish markets in specific is due to her multicultural Iraqi/Finnish background and native knowledge of both cultures and languages. Katia has over 20 years of business development and leadership experience in the Education, Telecommunications and IT Industries. She has held various key roles in multinational companies. She holds an M.Sc. in Telecommunications from Aalto University and B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Baghdad University and is studying for an MA in Education Entrepreneurship at The Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

Hanna Elving

Hanna is head project manager for Vercity and Beyond edtech hub in the municipality of Nacka. She is also the women behind the initiative to open Sweden´s first national testbed for edtech. With a background from Swedish politics and  Business Sweden in Shanghai she has good insights in the national and global development of public sector and the business opportunities connected to that. As a mother of three she daily uses edtech products and services.
